Four Layer Pie
1 1/2 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 to 1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip
1 large box instant chocolate pudding mix
8 oz Philadelphia cream cheese
3/4 to 1 cup chopped pecans
Mix butter, flour and chopped nuts. Press into bottom of 9 x 13 pan to form crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, then cool.
Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and cool whip. Spread over the cooked, cooled crust.
Prepare the pudding mix according to the package directions for PIE, not pudding. Spread the prepared pie mix over the white layer. Chill until cold.
Spread Cool Whip over pudding.
Optional: Sprinkle with chocolate pieces.
Best if refrigerated overnight before serving.
